Battery Charging Safety Warnings
NEVER

use charger outdoors or expose to wet or damp conditions. Water entering charger will increase the risk of
electric shock.
NEVER

use the cord to carry the charger and never pull the charge by its cord when unplugging. Replace damaged
cords immediately.
Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, come in contact with sharp edges or

otherwise subjected to damage or stress.
DO NOT

operate charger with a damaged cord or plug, which could cause shorting and electric shock. If damaged,
have the charger replaced by an authorized dealer.
DO NOT

operate charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way.
DO NOT

disassemble charger. Take it to an authorized dealer when service or repair is required.
Unplug charger from outlet before attempting any maintenance or cleaning to reduce the risk of electric shock.

Disconnect charger from the power supply when not in use. This will reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to

the charger if metal items should fall into the opening, it also will help prevent damage to the charger during a power
surge.
DO NOT

charge batteries in temperature below 5oC or above 50oC. This is important and will prevent serious
damage to the batteries.
Battery Life
ENSURE THAT THE BATTERY IS REGULARLY CHARGED AND IS NOT PERMITTED TO COMPLETELY

DISCHARGE WHICH MAY PREVENT IT FROM BEING RECHARGED!
During use the LEDs will indicate the charge status of the battery. Once the RED led lights, its time to re-charge
•
the battery.
DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE TOOL AS COMPLETELY DISCHARGING THE BATTERY COULD
DAMAGE IT.
Avoid leaving on charge for extended periods of time. Although overcharging is not a safety concern, it can
•
significantly reduce overall battery life.
The battery will reach optimum performance after being recharged 5 times during normal usage. There is no need to
•
run the batteries down completely before recharging.
Avoid short periods of charging.
