PLASTIC COMB BINDING
1 - PAPER PUNCHING
MEASURING OF PAPER THICKNESS
Insert the booklet to be bound under the plastic comb diameter
selector (1). Pull the comb selector downwards until it reaches the
paper. Read the numbers selected showing (including the dash on
top). It will give you the selected plastic comb diameter. (

).
PUNCHING MARGIN REGULATION
It is important to vary the distance between the punch and the
edge of the paper, in relation to the diameter of the comb; this
allows for the positioning of the regulator (2), in accordance with
the following table:
Ø mm 6/8 higher setting (minimum distance from paper edge)
Ø mm 10/16 central setting (medium distance from paper edge)
Ø mm 20/50 lower setting (maximum distance from paper edge)

SIDE GUIDE REGULATION
Turn the side guide knob in accordance with the size of the
paper to be bound. Available in 5 standard sizes (
Fig. 3
):
Din A4 - 21 rings (29,7 cm)
Din A4 - 20 rings (29,7 cm)
Din A5 - 14 rings (21 cm)
11’’ - 19 rings
8’’ ½ - 15 rings
PUNCHES SELECTION
When there is a requirement for 20/14/19 rings, deactivate the
punches by pulling the corresponding punches control
deactivator (

).
