SEAT INSTALLATION
It may be necessary to install the seat either prior to initial
operation or after transporting your power chair. The seat
is attached to the power base by a height-adjustable seat
pedestal.
WARNING! Do not pick up the seat
frame by the armrests. They are free
to pivot, and you may lose control of
the seat if they do so, resulting in
personal injury or damage to the chair.
To install the seat:
1. Adjust the seat height if necessary. See V. Comfort
Adjustments.
2. Turn the rear shroud fasteners one-quarter turn and remove
the rear shroud. See figure 6.
3. Set the seat onto the seat pedestal. See figure 10.
4. Install the controller into the armrest (see figure 10), and
tighten the setscrew under the armrest (see figure 11).
5. Plug the motor connectors and the charger inhibit connector
into the power pod. See figure 7.
6. Place the power pod into the power base. See figure 12.
NOTE: You must place the power pod into the power
base before the battery connector. This will ensure a
proper fit.
7. Reconnect the battery connector.
8. Place the battery connector back into the power base. See
figure 13.
9. Reinstall the rear shroud.
