Troubleshooting
Cleansing
• Cleaning the string trimmer after each use will keep it
in optimal conditions and will extend its useful life.
• To clean use a piece of cloth moistened with hot water
and a soft brush.
• After each use disassemble all the tool’s parts and
remove all the grass particles and earth adhered. Pay
special attention to the cutting line spool and its notches,
as well as the guard.
• Clean perfectly the string trimmer ventilation slots in the
string trimmer to free them of any obstruction of grass or
earth.
• Carbon brushes shall be checked periodically and when
worn replaced always in a Authori-
zed Service Center. After replacing the carbon brushes
ask the technician to check if the new carbons can move
freely inside the carbon brush housing. Ask to leave the
tool running 5 minutes to make even the contact between
carbon brushes and the commuter.
• Use only original spare carbon
brushes, designed specifically with the right strength and
electric resistance for each type of motor. Carbon brushes
with different specifications may damage the motor.
• When replacing carbon brushes always replace both.
Carbon Brush Replacement
• Avery repairs or maintenance shall be carried out only in
a Authorized Service Center.
Service
• After completing the useful life, the tool’s waste
materials like packaging, damaged parts or the tool itself
shall not be handled as trash. Take the materials to a
recycling facility to be treated adequately obeying all the
environment standards.
Environment Protection
Storing
• Clean the tool before storing to prevent mildew
formations.
• Store the string trimmer in a dry and lukewarm place
away from the sun (preferably in a dark place) and away
from the reach of children.
• Avoid storing the string trimmer in plastic bags.
Otherwise, the humidity could ruin it.
• Avoid storing the string trimmer with the guard against
the ground because it makes it lose its shape. The string
trimmer shall be stored hanging from its upper handle to
prevent the guar touching the ground.
• The line is adhered in itself.
• Not enough line in the spool.
• The line is tangled in the spool.
• The line is not released from the spool notches.
• The extension cable is not correctly plugged in.
• The breaker triggered de home circuit.
• High grass is being cut at ground level.

• Lubricate the cutter head with the
silicon lubricant spray.
• Set a new line in the spool (see page 7).
• Turn off the string trimmer and spin again the
line in the spool (see page 7).
• Turn off the string trimmer and pull both cutting
lines ends to release them.
• Connect the extension cable correctly.
• Check the circuit breaker.
• Cut high grass gradually as explained in page 8.
