Assembling and Maintaining TRM 800-Series Treadmills

Cleaning the Running Belt and Deck

Important:

Turn the treadmill off before cleaning the belt.

Weekly cleaning of the running belt and deck beneath it can

greatly extend the life of the running belt. If you are unable to

clean it weekly, Precor recommends that you clean it monthly.

CAUTION: DO NOT clean the belt while the treadmill is running.

To clean the running belt and deck:

Slide a soft, dry cloth beneath the running belt and the

deck.

Pull the cloth back and forth from the drive roller (front)

to the take-up roller (back).

Remove cloth from under belt.

Grasp the belt and pull it around the rollers until another

part of the belt is positioned for cleaning.

Repeat steps 1 through 4 until you have cleaned the entire

belt and deck (about four belt pulls).

Inspect the running belt for alignment and tension and

adjust as necessary.
