1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DM/25IR passive infrared beam detector has been designed and built for controlling the
opening of automatic doors. This high-precision device can detect movements of persons over
areas of one to five square metres. A trimmer permits to adjust detection range, thus making the
device extremely versatile.
2. APPLICATIONS
Added safety is given by the IP55 protection box which, together with the possibility of setting
detection range by means of the special trimmer, makes it ideal for use on automatic doors.

4. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Make sure that the installation site is vibration-free and adequately protected against weather
conditions and accidental impacts.
Installation at a height of around 2.5 metres from ground level is recommended. Install as shown
in Figs. 1 and 3.
Set desired range by acting on trimmer «E» as shown in Fig. 1.
Setting for detection at no less than about 20 to 30 cm from ground level is recommended.
