POWERWINCH SAFETY RULES
WARNING:
When using your hoist, basic safety precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of electric shock, fire,
or personal injury including the following items. Read all in­
structions and save them for further reference.
1. READ YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL. ONLY let people
who know the Powerwinch Safety Rules use your
hoist
2. ALWAYS ground your hoist. Your hoist is equipped
with a three prong plug, it should be plugged into a
three hole electrical outlet.
3. NEVER use your hoist to lift or move people or
animals.
4. Keep the hoisting area free of people. Only let adults
use the hoist.
5. Always wire your hoist (12V) with the circuit
breakers. There could be overheating, which could
cause a fire.

A
ALWAYS MOUNT HOIST VERTICALLY. THE HOIST WILL
NOT OPERATE IF MOUNTED HORIZONTALLY. ANY MODI­
FICATION COULD RESUL T IN IMPROPER OPERATION OR
PERSONAL INJURY.
6. Always inspect the entire cable before use to ·check
for fraying or kinking. The cable could break if it is
frayed or kinked.
(frayed-wear by rubbing)
(kinked-short tight twist or curl)
8. NEVER use rope instead of cable. It will break,
causing possible damage.
9.
Only
attempt to lift as much as your hoist is rated
to lift.
10. Do Not use your hoist to hold or support the load
once you finish the job.
11. NEVER wrap the hoist cable around the load. This
causes cable kinking which breaks down cable
strength. Use an ECOSTRAP or a chain.
12. Always wear leather gloves when handling the
cable. Steel cable can be hard on hands.
13. Keep your hands, fingers and feet clear of the
drum area. (where cable winds)
14. ALWAYS unplug the conductor cord to prevent
accidental starting when starting up, adjusting or
making repairs to your hoist.
15.
DONT expose hoist to rain or use in damp or wet
locations. Do not use hoist in presence of
flammable liquids or gases.
16.
NEVER stand under a load.
17. NEVER operate the unit more than 5 minutes
per hour.

7. If you need to replace the cable ALWAYS replace rt
with one of the same size and strength. (Use
Powerwinch cable ONLY!) The heist's rating and the
cable strength are carefully matched. Your warranty
is VOID ii any other cable is used.
ALWAYS STAND CLEAR OF THE HOIST AREA. IF THE
CABLE BREAKS, SERIOUS INJURY COULD OCCUR.
NEVER STAND UNDER THE LOAD.
NOTE: Any LIMITED WARRANTY which may apply to this product may be VOID
if said product has been damaged due to accident, unreasonable use, neglect,
modification, or failure to observe these safety rules.
