Starting Engine:

Cold Starting The Engine:
1 . Place the Trimmer on a flat surface .
2 . Move the ignition switch to the “ON” position .
3 . Move the choke lever up to the “COLD
START” position . (Fig . 18)
4 . Press the primer bulb slowly 6 times . (Fig . 20)
5 . Pull the recoil starter handle sharply until the engine
starts and runs . (Fig . 21)
6 . After engine starts and runs for 10-15 seconds, move
choke lever to “RUN/WARM START” position . (Fig . 19)
Starting A Flooded Engine:
1 . Place the Trimmer on a flat surface .
2 . Move the ignition switch to the “ON” position .
3 . Move the choke lever to “RUN/WARM START”
position . (Fig . 19)
4 . Fully depress the throttle lever and pull the starter
handle repeatedly until engine starts and runs . This
could require pulling the starter handle many times,
depending on how badly the unit is flooded . (Fig . 21)
5 . If the engine still does not start, allow the unit to sit for
about 30 minutes, and repeat step 1-4 .
Warm Starting The Engine:
1 . Place the Trimmer on a flat surface .
2 . Move the ignition switch to the “ON” position .
3 . Move the choke lever to “RUN/WARM
START” position . (Fig . 19)
4 . Pull the recoil starter handle sharply until the
engine starts and runs . (Fig . 21)

Stopping The Trimmer:

The trimmer head and line will continue to rotate for a few seconds after the engine has stopped .
CAUTION
1 . Release the throttle lever and allow the engine to
idle for a few moments .
2 . Move the Ignition Switch to the “OFF” position .
