Do not use the ladder as a
bridging structure or bridge.
Wear suitable, sturdy footwear
when you get on the ladder.
Avoid work on the ladder with a
one-sided load, such as lateral
drilling through solid materials
(i.e. brick or concrete).
Do not stay for too long on the
ladder without a regular break
(fatigue is a hazard). Get off the
ladder as soon as you feel tired.
Leaning ladders for accessing
a greater height should extend
at least 1 m on from the installa-
tion point.
Do not proceed further than the
last meter of the leaning ladder.
Only transport light, manageable
objects if you are on the ladder.
Always hold on tight to the lad-
der with one hand while working,
or if this is not possible, establish
additional safeguards.
Ensure before use that the lock-
ing devices of the ladder function
and that all pulled out segments
are locked correctly before you
get up on the ladder. Only use
the ladder if it is functioning cor-
rectly.
Ensure that there are no cables
or pipes, unsecured windows
or doors or wall projections in
your vicinity before you get on
the ladder.
Do not use the ladder if one or
more slip-resistant caps for the
base are missing or are visibly
damaged.
Set up the ladder so that it is
accessible at all times.
Get up on the ladder rung by
rung. Do not skip multiple rungs.
Do not slide down the side rails.
If necessary, secure the ladder‘s
stability by taking additional
measures, i.e. by tying the ladder
to a solid anchoring.
If you wish to work at greater
heights you must secure the ladder
by taking additional measures.
Only transport the ladder when
it has been fully collapsed and
secured using the strap.
Do not move the ladder when
someone is on it.
Do not place any tools or objects
on the rungs and do not hang
anything from the ladder.
Do not pull too hard on objects
and do not exert any strong pres-
sure on objects when you are on
the ladder. The ladder could fall
over as a result.
Always wear tight-fitting clothing
when you get on the ladder.
