Hold the spindle firmly with a spanner and remove
the outer flange using the flange spanner.
Remove and clean the outer flange (b) and spacers
(c) and clean the inner flange (d). Remove filings
and dust from the inside of the disc shield using a
brush or compressed air.
Fit the cutting discs on the inner flange and adjust
the distance between them using spacers.

• NB: The cutting discs are very sharp. Handle
with care.
• There must be at least one spacer between the
cutting discs.
Screw the outer flange onto the spindle.
Check that the cutting discs’ direction of rotation is
the same as that of the slot-cutting machine.
Push the upper section down towards the base (9)
until it clicks into place. Check that the upper
section is securely connected.
