5. Charge battery pack for 3-5 hours to reach a full charge. The battery pack and power supply
unit will warm up during the charging process. This is not a malfunction.
CAUTION:
Do not charge the battery for more than 7 hours.
Overcharging may shorten life of the battery pack.
6. After battery pack is fully charged, unplug the charger base (2) by disconnecting
the AC adapter from the outlet.
7. Remove the battery pack from the charger base.
Recharging Battery
Charge the battery for 3-5 hours from a fully discharged condition.
(Follow steps 1 - 7 for charging battery.)
Do not repeatedly recharge battery pack after using
briefly (15 minutes or less).

Battery Pack Installation & Removal:

Insert charged battery pack (2)
into tool handle (1) and secure with
release buttons (3).
NOTE:
There are release buttons on both sides
of the battery. The spring must snap into place
before the battery is safely secured.
2. Separate the battery (2) from the tool handle (1)
by pressing the release buttons (3) and pulling
the battery away from the tool.
Charging Battery Pack
The battery pack must be charged before first
time use. The battery pack only reaches its full
capacity after several charges.

Plug the AC adapter (1) into a
standard 110/120v ~ 60Hz power outlet .
2. Plug the DC connector plug (4) from the AC
adapter into the charging base (2).
3 Carefully insert the battery pack (5) into the
charger base (2). The battery pack fits in one
direction, do not force the battery pack
into the base.
4. Verify indicator light (3) is lit, if indicator light
does not turn on, ensure AC adapter and DC
connector plug are securely connected .
NOTE:
The indicator light will come on and
remain on until, power is removed from adapter
or battery pack is removed from charger base.
If the battery pack reaches a temperature over 40
o
C (+105
o
F), the battery charger indicator
light will turn off for self protection. The indicator light will turn back on when battery pack
temperature cools down.

Inserting Drill Bits and Screwdriver Bits:
WARNING:
PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD.
Make sure
the tool is turned off and the battery is removed before
changing bits or making any adjustments to the tool.

To insert a drill bit, screwdriver bit or
other accessory, grasp the back section of the chuck (2)
and rotate the front section (1) counter clockwise to
open (viewed from the chuck opening).
2. Insert bit into drill chuck opening until it stops.
3. Firmly rotate the front section (1) clockwise to secure
the bit. Verify drill bit is firmly seated in the drill chuck
before operating.
NOTE:
Select screwdriver bits appropriate to the screw
head in order to avoid damage to screw heads.
Forward & Reversing Switch:

Set rotation direction switch (1)
to the right for counter clockwise rotation or
to the left for clockwise rotation.
2. When On/Off switch is activated, rotation
direction switch is locked.
CAUTION:
Always check the direction of rotation
before use. Do not attempt to change rotation
direction while the tool is in operation.
Variable Speed On/Off Switch:

Set rotation direction switch (1)
to desired position.
To start the drill:
Press On/Off switch (2).
Rotation speed will increase as the trigger is pressed.
To stop the drill:
Release On/Off switch (2).
Varying the Speed
To increase the speed:
apply pressure to the On/Off switch by slowly squeezing inward.
To decrease the speed:
release the pressure on the On/Off switch .
CAUTION:
Drilling with the lowest rotation speed for an extended period, increases the danger
of overheating the drill's motor. Allow cooling time of approximately 15 minutes between
extended drilling periods.
