OPERATION
Letter references in parenthesis (A) refer to the included Identification Key.
1. Ensure the switch (D) is set to OFF.
2. Flip the lock lever (C) to UNLOCK.
3. Flip the side panel (H) down. Insert your finger into the panel’s hole to open it.
4. Insert the butane gas cartridge into the valve and ensure it is properly
seated. The arrow on the valve lines up with the notch in the butane
cylinder’s collar.
5. Flip the lock lever to LOCK. This will seal the butane cylinder in place.
a. The lock lever will only lock when the drip-pan supports are properly
installed and the switch is in the OFF position.
6. Check that the seal is tight. Turn the switch to allow gas to flow. Apply
soapy water to the valve, brass tube and around the burner (B). Watch for
bubbles to form in the film if there is a leak. You may also smell gas or
hear hissing. Reattempt to correctly seal the butane cylinder. Replace the
butane cylinder if the problem persists. Should that fail to resolve the problem,
the stove may have a defective valve. Have the stove inspected.
a. Should the pressure in the gas cartridge become excessive, the lock
safety mechanism will trip and physically separate the butane cylinder
from the stove. The air flow will also stop and the burner’s flame will
go out.
