Switch:

Pressing the TOP part of the switch runs the tool in a reverse direction.

1.

Pressing the BOTTOM part of the  switch runs the tool in a forward direction.

2.

Always let the motor stop completely before changing direction.

3.

To lock trigger in “FORWARD” position, depress LOWER part of trigger and push up lock button. Then, while
holding lock button in position, gently release trigger.

4.

To release locking mechanism, depress trigger fully, then release it.

notE:

Locking mechanism will not function if upper part of trigger is depressed (reverse operation).
The locking  feature is for use when the drill is mounted in a drill stand or otherwise firmly held (

NOT BY HAND

).

Do not lock the switch “ON” when drilling by hand so that you can instantly release the trigger switch if the bit binds in
the hole.
Be sure to release the switch locking button before disconnecting the plug from the power supply. Failure to do so will
cause the tool to start immediately the next time it is plugged in, and damage or injury could result.

how to oPEratE

1.

When attaching or changing bits or accessories, always turn off tool and disconnect from power supply

2.

Use sharp drill bits only. For

wOOD

, use twist drill bits, spade bits, power auger bits, or hole saws. For

METAL

, use high speed steel twist drill bits or hole saws. For

MASONRY

, such as brick, cement, cinder

block, etc., use carbide-tipped bitts.

3.

Be sure the material to be drilled is anchored or clamped firmly. If drilling thin material, use a “back-up” block

to prevent damage to the material.

4.

Always apply pressure in a straight line with the bit. Use enough pressure to keep the drill bit bitting, but do

not push hard enough to stall the motor or to deflect or bend the drill bit.

5.

Hold tool firmly to control the twisting action of the drill.

6.

IF DRILL STALLS

, it is usually because it is being overloaded..

RELEASE TRIGGER IMMEDIATELY

, remove

drill bit from work, and determine cause of stalling.

DO NOT CLICK TRIGGER ON AND OFF IN ATTEMPT

TO START A STALLED DRILL-THIS CAN DAMAGE THE DRILL.

7.

To minimize stalling on breaking through the material, reduce pressure on drill and ease the bit through the

last fractional part of the hole.

8.

Keep the motor running when pulling the bit back out of a drilled hole. This will help prevent jamming.

WARNING - Before working, let the tool operate for no less than one minute without load.

maintEnancE:

1.

The brushes should be checked periodically and worn-out brushes should be replaced immediately. After

replacing, inspect whether the new brushes can move freely in the brush holder. Keep running the motor for
15 minutes to match the contact of the brushes and commutator.

2.

Keep the vent passage clear from dirt, clean off the accumulated dust and oil dirt periodically.

3.

During normal operation, if anything happens, the power supply should be disconnected at once and the tool

should be checked and repaired if necessary.

CAUTION: Only qualified servicemen should repair the tool.
