SETUP
The scanner must be powered ON and connected via
Bluetooth to the host tablet. Scanners will ship in a power
OFF (low power suspend) state in order to preserve the
battery. To power ON the S10 scanner, do the following:
1. Hold down the round trigger button on the top of the
unit for approximately five seconds.
2. The ring around the trigger button will flash blue once,
followed by a startup audio sound of three tones.
3. The trigger button ring will flash blue continuously to
indicate there is no connection to a tablet system.
To connect the S10 scanner to your tablet, do the following:
1. Open the Bluetooth settings on your tablet and select
the “PowaPOS XXXXXXX” name in the Bluetooth device
list.
2. Match the 7-digit number in the device list with the
number printed on the ID label of the scanner. This can
be located on the bottom housing of the S10 scanner.
3. After completeing the connection prompts on the
tablet, your device will be connected, and you can
begin scanning.
SCANNING OPERATION
The scanner can be used as a docked presentation scanner,
or as a triggered handheld device. To use as a handheld
(trigger) scanner, do the following:
1. Hold down the scanner button (trigger).
2. Aim the scanner at the barcode you wish to scan.
3. When you hear a single beep, the scan was successful.
SCAN FIELD AND AIMING DOT
There are two features to assist in scanning bar codes; the
Scan Field and the Aiming Dot.
The Scan Field reads depth of field, and displays as a red
box when items are placed in front of the scanner. Items
should be passed within the red areas when scanning in
presentation mode. When scanning in handheld (trigger)
mode, simply aim the red box at the item you wish to scan.
The Aiming Dot is an orange circle which should be aimed
at the center of the barcode when scanning, whether you
are scanning in docked presentation mode or in handheld
(trigger) mode.
LED RING INDICATORS
The LED ring uses color and flashes to indicate the following
states of operation:
1. Solid red - charging
2. Solid blue - fully charged
3. Flashing red - low battery
4. Flashing blue - no Bluetooth connection
CHARGING
The scanner charges when it is docked in the T25 cradle and
the T25 is powered ON. The LED shows red when charging
and blue when fully charged. If the scanner is flashing red,
return to the cradle for charging.

To use as a docked presentation scanner, do the following:
1. Place the scanner in the cradle at the top of the base,
using the notch to secure placement.
2. The barcode scanner can be placed with the scan
window facing either the right or left side of the base.
3. To scan merchandise, pass the barcode of the item
being scanned approximately 12” from the scanning
window.
