Ensure that the cable does not jam or comes into contact with hot surfaces or sharp edges.
Connec�on to the mains supply must be in accordance with the na�onal regula�ons for electrical
installa�ons.
a) WORKING IN VICINITY OF ALEAD-ACID BATTERY IS DANGEROUS. BATTERIES GENERATE EXPLO-
SIVE GASES DURING NORMAL BATTERY OPERATION. FOR THIS REASON, IT IS OF UTMOST IMPOR-
TANCE THAT YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EACH TIME YOU USE THE CHARGER.
b) To reduce risk of ba�ery explosion, follow these instruc�ons and those published by ba�ery-
manufacturer and manufacturer of any equipment you intend to use in vicinity of ba�ery. Review
cau�onary marking on these products and on engine.
Never charge a frozen ba�ery.
Never charge a damaged ba�ery.
Never allow red and black clamps to touch each other or another common metal conductor. This
could create a sparking.
Make sure the area around the ba�ery and charger is well ven�lated. DO NOT use this product in
anenclosed space. The internal ba�ery may vent explosive hydrogen gas, which can be ignited by
sparks from electrical connec�ons.
DO NOT use this product where there are flammable fumes or gases, such as in the bilge of a
gasoline-powered boat, or near propane tanks.
Never smoke or allow a spark or flame in vicinity of the engine or ba�eries.
Be careful not to drop a metal object on the ba�ery or allow a metal tool to simultaneously touch
the posi�ve and nega�ve cable ends or ba�ery terminals. It might spark or short-circuit the ba�ery
and cause an explosion.
If you need to remove the clip from the ba�ery terminal, ALWAYS remove the clip from the posi�ve
terminal from the ba�ery first. Make sure all accessories are off so you don't cause an arc.
The ba�ery terminals exposed at the clamps have enough energy present to cause a spark,
crea�ng an explosion hazard, or to cause burns if a metal object contacts both terminals. NEVER
allow the red and black clips to touch each other or a common metal conductor.
DO NOT expose this product to water, rain, snow, condensa�on, or spray.
Never allow ba�ery acid to drip on charger when reading electrolyte specific gravity or filling
ba�ery.
