Set Up Instructions
Read the ENTIRE IMpORTANT SAFETy INSTRUcTIONS section at the beginning of this manual
including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
TO pREVENT SERIOUS INJURy FROM AccIDENTAL OpERATION:
Make sure that the power Switch/Trigger is in the off-position and unplug the appliance
from its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section.
Note:
For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages,
refer to the Assembly Diagram near the end of this manual.
Assembly
Install Guard
1. CAUTION! TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL CUTS:
Cover the Trimming Blade (39) with the
Blade Cover (40) before installing the Guard.
2. Align Guard (42) over Housing as shown in Figure A.
WARNING! TO pREVENT SERIOUS INJURy FROM
FLyING DEBRIS AND pIEcES OF TRIMMING LINE:
Install the guard only in the orientation shown.
3. Attach Guard to Housing using 4 Screws (25).

Install Auxiliary Handle
1. Position Auxiliary Handle over Handle Bracket (14).
2. Install Locking Knob (15) and tighten
it in place to secure the Handle.
3. Loosen the Locking Knob and move the
Auxiliary Handle to the desired position.
WARNING! Tighten the Locking Knob
after adjustment.
