Connecting to an audio playback device

Using the PCM WiFi hotspot

The hotspot feature in the PCM is switched on
(you can find information on this in the manual for
the PCM).
1. Switch on the PRSE.
The main menu is displayed.
The Connection Manager shows the available
WiFi networks under
WiFi .
3. Tap the PCM WiFi hotspot.
4. Enter the WiFi password and confirm with OK
(entry of the password is only required the first
time you connect).
The connection is established.
5. Connect your mobile device to the PCM hotspot
in the same way.
WiFi status
The status is displayed at the top left in the main
menu:

The following connections can be established:
– Connect to
Bluetooth headphones .
– Connect to the vehicle sound system .
– Connect to corded headphones .
Connecting to Bluetooth headphones
1. Switch on the Bluetooth headphones and
activate pairing mode (you can find information
on this in the manual for your device).
The available devices are displayed.
3. Select the desired Bluetooth headphones.
The connection is established and the sound is
output through the Bluetooth headphones.
Connecting to the vehicle sound system*
(* This feature is not yet available, but will be supplied later
via software update.)
Connecting to corded headphones

Plug the headphones into the socket (Fig. 1, 3).
Plugging in the headphones interrupts active
playback via Bluetooth. Two sets of headphones
cannot therefore be operated in parallel via Bluetooth
and WiFi. The Bluetooth connection remains active,
however, and can be resumed after the corded
headphones are unplugged.
2. Tap the WiFi icon in the main menu.
PRSE is not connected to WiFi.
PRSE is connected to a WiFi hotspot. The
Connection Manager shows the WiFi
hotspot name at the bottom of the main
menu.
2. Tap the Bluetooth icon at the top left in the
main menu (or the set-up wizard at the
bottom) and select
Bluetooth .
The active Bluetooth connection is shown
at the top left of the display.
