Replacing fuses or relays with the engine running
or the ignition on could cause electrical shock.

Always switch off the engine and the ignition
when working on the electrical system.

Short-circuit
Working on the vehicle’s electrical system can
cause a short-circuit. The short circuit can cause a
fire.

Checking and changing fuses
To prevent short-circuits and overloading of the
electrical system, the individual circuits are pro-
tected by fuses.
One fuse box can be found at the right-hand side of
the luggage compartment in direction of travel.
Two additional fuse boxes are located at the outer
ends of the dashboard on the driver's and pas-
senger's side.
Depending on the equipment, further fuse boxes
are located at various locations in the vehicle,
which are only accessible to a specialist
workshop.

Checking and changing fuses
The numbering of the fuse slots is printed or em-
bossed on the inside of the cover of or on the fuse
carrier.
Unassigned fuse slots are not listed in the follow-
ing overviews.
1.
If possible, switch off the load with the defec-
tive fuse.
2.
Open the relevant fuse box cover.
3.
If necessary, carefully remove the purple plas-
tic strip over the fuses.
4.
Remove the fuse from its slot using the yellow
plastic gripper in order to check it. A blown
fuse can be identified by the melted metal strip.
5.
Insert a new fuse. The replacement fuse must
have the same rated current as the one it is
replacing.
6.
Fit the purple plastic strip back into place.
If the same fuse blows repeatedly, the cause of the
fault must be corrected immediately.
e
Visit an authorized Porsche dealer, as they
have trained workshop personnel and the nec-
essary parts and tools.
Information
Replace fuses with flags exclusively with genuine
Porsche fuses, which are also marked with a flag.
This ensures that rescue personnel can safely de-
activate the high-voltage system.
e
Visit an authorized Porsche dealer, as they
have trained technicians and the necessary
parts and tools.
