Your PORSCHE car radio is designed to receive RDS signals on the FM Band.
RDS
- RDS (Radio Broadcast Data System) allows the radio station to
broadcast the abbreviated name of the station, as well as program type
(PTY CODE), time, and a tone indicatingTraffic Program (TP).
PTY Code
- Transmitted by a radio station to classify the program type. Without
knowledge of local stations, use of PTY CODE enables the listener to
choose only one type of programming. The SEEK control accesses
stations transmitting a PTY code.
Autostore
- Automatically stores the 8 strongest stations on the recall keys.
CD Changer
- In addition to the single CD, the radio is capable of controlling an
optional CD Changer.
