We build sports cars. That will always be
our primary goal, our benchmark, now and
in the future. But if the 50-year history
of the 911 reveals anything, it’s that a
lot of emotion goes into the building of a
Porsche. Consequently, contained in
every 911 are not just thousands of new
ideas but a good deal of passion and
commitment too, along with countless
memories. We’re hopelessly romantic
where the 911 is concerned, we readily
admit it. We couldn’t have built the new 911 Targa
any other way. It embodies our passion
for the sports car concept. The belief that
sporty performance and style, technology
and design can be united into one defining
entity. Into a sports car which combines
the stories of yesterday with the technol-
ogy of tomorrow. A dream perhaps? Yes,
but one we have realised today.
