The button lights up red.

The parking procedure starts.
4. Always pay attention to the traffic situation and
the vehicle surroundings.
5. As soon as an obstacle appears or there is an
obstacle in the displayed route, interrupt the
parking maneuver (e.g. by releasing button
in
the center console).

A message appears when the vehicle reaches the
target position.
On slopes, the wheels are steered towards the
curb.
The transmission parking lock is activated and
the parking brake is applied.
6. Take over control of the vehicle.
If the driver does not take control of vehicle, a
message appears and the engine is switched off.
Starting the pulling-out procedure

1. Take your hands off the steering wheel and keep
the brake pedal pressed.

3. In order to change the pulling-out direction, ac-
tivate the corresponding turn signal (left/right).

Tap the relevant symbol A (Fig. 4) in the PCM.
The button in the center console flashes red.
4. Press and hold button in the center console.
5. Release the brake pedal.
The pulling-out procedure starts.
6. Always pay attention to the traffic situation and
the vehicle surroundings.
7. As soon as an obstacle appears, interrupt the
parking maneuver (e.g. by releasing button
in
the center console).

A message appears when the vehicle reaches the
target position.
The vehicle drives out of the parking space until a
collision-free exit is possible.
8. Take over control of the vehicle.
If the driver does not take control of vehicle, a
message appears and the engine is switched off.
Interrupting the parking maneuver
e Release button in the center console.
– or –
Bring the vehicle to a standstill by pressing the
brake pedal.
The parking maneuver can then be continued by
pressing button
in the center console again.
Release the brake pedal if necessary.
Canceling the parking maneuver:
e Take control of the steering.

e Change transmission range.
– or –
e Apply the parking brake.
– or –
e Press the accelerator.
The parking maneuver must be restarted. To do this,
switch the engine off and on again when pulling out.

DANGER
Toxic exhaust gases
Exhaust gas contains colorless and odorless carbon
monoxide, which is toxic even in low concentrations.

Never leave the engine running in confined
spaces.
e
After parking, check that the engine has been
switched off.
WARNING
Lack of attention
The system must not induce you to take risks with
your safety. The driver is always responsible for tak-
ing due care. The system is no substitute for the
driver's attentiveness.
The person who operates the active parking support
with the cellphone is considered the driver of the
vehicle and must have a valid driving license.

Always check the traffic situation and the area
around the vehicle.
e
Observe a suitable distance to the vehicle.
e
No persons or animals may be in the vehicle
during the parking maneuver.
e
If necessary, take over control of the vehicle.
e Observe the safety instructions and system lim-
its of the supporting systems, sensors and
cameras.
