Spray and wipe at front
e Pull the lever towards the steering wheel at po-
sition 5 and hold.

Fold windshield wipers out
e
Switch off the ignition and press the wiper lever
downward once in position 4 . The windshield
wipers move upward through approx. 90°.

WARNING
Undesired wiping
In rain sensor mode, the windshield wipers wipe au-
tomatically when water is detected on the
windshield.
e Always switch off the windshield wipers before
cleaning the windshield.
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the luggage compartment lid,
windshield and wiper system.
e Only wipe the windshield when sufficiently wet,
otherwise it could become scratched
e Carefully detach frozen wiper blades from the
windshield before driving.
e Always switch off windshield wipers in car
washes to prevent them from wiping uninten-
tionally (rain sensor mode).
e
Always hold the wiper arm securely when re-
placing wiper blades.
e
Pay attention to the varying length of wiper
blades when replacing them.

0 Windshield wipers off
When the windshield wipers and the ignition
are switched off, the wipers move up slightly
from their rest position so that the wiping
edges are aligned correctly.
1 Rain sensor/intermittent operation, wind-
shield wipers
e Move wiper lever upward to the first detent.
2 Slow wipe
e Move wiper lever upward to the second
detent.
3 Fast wipe
e
Move wiper lever upward to the third
detent.
4 Windshield wipers - one-touch operation
e Move wiper lever downward.
The windshield wipers carry out one wiping
cycle.
5 Windshield wiper and washer system
e Pull wiper lever toward the steering wheel.
When the wiper lever is released, a few
drying wipes are performed.
After a number of wipes, the Night View
Assist camera is automatically cleaned.
Information
e If windshield is very dirty, repeat the cleaning
process.
e Persistent dirt (e.g. insect remains) should be
removed regularly.
Windshield wiper blades in perfect condition are vi-
tal for ensuring a clear view.
