Luggage Compartment Lid

Your vehicle is equipped with an internal trunk
release mechanism.
A person trapped in the luggage compartment can
release the lid from the inside using the unlocking
handle.
The handle is fluorescent and glows in the dark.
Function
If the luggage compartment lid is unlocked with by
using the internal trunk release mechanism, the latch
striker pops into the catch-hook position and the lid
can be opened from the inside immediately.
A warning message in the multi-purpose display
lights up when unlocking handle is operated.
1. Stop the vehicle immediately when the warning
message lights up.
2. Check the luggage compartment.
3. Close the lid.
Emergency unlocking of the
luggage compartment lid
If the battery is discharged, the front luggage
compartment lid can only be unlocked with the aid of
a donor battery.

1. Unlock the vehicle at the door lock with the
emergency key.

2. Remove the plastic cover of the left hand fuse
box.
3. Extract the positive terminal C (red) in the fuse
box using plastic tool A (yellow).
4. Use the red jumper cable to connect the positive
terminal of the external battery to the positive
terminal
C in the fuse box.

5. Use the black jumper cable to connect the
negative terminal of the external battery to the
joint of door arrester

6. Press and hold the button of the vehicle key
for 2 seconds.
The front luggage compartment lid is unlocked
and the alarm system is deactivated.
7. First disconnect the negative cable, then the
positive cable.
8. Insert positive terminal C (Fig. 105) in the fuse
box and attach the plastic cover of the fuse box.
WARNING
Unsecured Luggage
The internal trunk release mechanism will not work if
the vehicle does not have battery power.

Information
If the vehicle was locked, the alarm system signal will
sound when the negative terminal is connected.
