direct the jet of steam directly on the surface, but
cover the brush with a cloth. Do not keep
spraying steam in the same place.
For wooden surfaces (furniture, doors, etc.), we
recommend cleaning with a cloth which has
been steamed previously.
• Also on particularly delicate surfaces (e.g.
synthetic materials, lacquered surfaces etc.) it is
recommended to always cover the brushes with
a cloth and to use steam to a minimum.
• If cleaning glass surfaces in particularly low tem-
peratures preheat the glass using the hand gun
from about 50 centimetres distance from the sur-
face to be cleaned.
• For care of your plants vaporise at a minimum di-
stance of 50 centimetres.
PRACTICAL ADVICE FOR THE USE OF THE
ACCESSORIES
STEAM GUN (1C)
Without inserting the brushes, just the steam gun
can be used for particular cleaning, using steam
and close range or not, depending on the type of
material and the nature of the dirt to be cleaned.
The more stubborn the dirt, the closer the steam
gun must be kept, as temperature and pressure are
greatest at the time of release. In all cases, after
steaming, rub more stubborn dirt with a dry cloth or
abrasive sponge.
Use the steam gun to:
• Treat stains on carpets or rugs before running the
brush over it;
• Clean stainless steel, glass, mirrors, layered and
enamel coverings;
• Clean corners that are difficult to access, such as
stairs, window frames, door frames, aluminium
profiles;
• Clean hob knobs and tap bases;
• Clean shutters, radiators and car interiors;
• Steam apartment plants (from a distance);
• Eliminate odours and creases from clothes.
If necessary (areas which are hard to access)
extension hoses can be added to the gun.
The steam gun (
1C
) has a reservoir for deodorant
(
1I
) to be used exclusively with FrescoVapor (

), a
natural deodorant which, in addition to releasing a
pleasant fragrance, eliminates bad odours. To use
FrescoVapor, proceed as follows:
- Unscrew the cap (
1H
) (Fig. 14) of the deodorant
reservoir (

) and fill it with FrescoVapor (Fig.
15).
- Screw on the cap (
1H
)
- To adjust the quantity of deodorant, use the adju-
stment (
1G
) (Fig. 16),
to reduce,
to
increase. FrescoVapor can be used combined
with the steam to clean all surfaces and with all
the accessories, as described in the paragraph
“Use”.
Note:
- By increasing the quantity of deodorant, the sur-
face will be slightly damper, since FrescoVapor
mixes with the steam being dispensed.
To avoid dispensing FrescoVapor, turn the adjust-
ment (
1G
) completely forward (
OFF).
- The adjustment (
1G
) only determines the quantity
of deodorant that mixes with the steam. It does
not regulate the quantity of steam. To adjust the
quantity of steam, you must use the steam-adjust-
ment dial (
G
), as described in the paragraph
“Steam Adjustment”.
WARNING:
- Never put FrescoVapor in the boiler. Only use
water in the boiler, following the instructions
listed in the paragraph “Preparation”.
- Before using FrescoVapor on upholstery,
leather, special fabrics and wood surfaces, con-
sult the manufacturer’s instructions and always
carry out a test on a hidden part or sample of
the material. Allow the steamed part to dry to
make sure that no changes in colour or defor-
mations have occurred.
EXTENSION HOSES (2)
The 3 extension hoses are perfect for easy access
to more inaccessible surfaces without having to be
folded.
On two extension hoses two lever reels are moun-
ted which make it possible to wind the power cable.
(Fig.14).
FLOOR BRUSH (3)
• To clean floors, attach a clean dry cloth to the spe-
cific hooks (
3A
) of the brush and wipe back and
forth without pressing.
• Use the brush without cloth over dirty or scaled
areas and over tile joints making lateral move-
ments to lift the dirt.
• For vertical washable surfaces or upholstery and
ceilings, cover the brush with a dry cloth and pro-
ceed as for the floor.
• On all types of synthetic or wool floor/wall carpets,
as well as area rugs, Vaporetto ensures maximum
hygiene, giving them back their original appearan-
ce and brightening up the colours. Run the brush
