Water naturally contains a certain amount of
calcium and magnesium salts, which deter-
mine its hardness and cause lime scale to
build up over time. To prevent his problem
Polti has developed KALSTOP FP 2003 for
natural prevention of lime scale build-up on
steam cleaners and irons with separate boiler
units.
To keep your boiler working properly and
lengthen your Vaporella’s useful lifespan,
Polti has fitted Vaporella Star 2000 with the
special Auto-Kalstop function which automa-
tically indicates when you need to use Kal-
stop.
Whenever the Add Kalstop (
5g
) indicator light
comes on:
• Turn off the appliance with the main switch
(

);
• Remove the water tank (
3
) and fill it with
water up to the MAX level (

);
• Pour the contents of one phial of Kalstop
into the tank (
3
);
• Turn on the appliance using the main
switch (
2
) and, while all the other indicator
lights are on, reset the Add Kalstop indica-
tor light by pressing sensors (
5b
) and (
5c
)
and holding them down until all the indica-
tor lights go off (fig. 6).
• You may now resume using the appliance
as usual.
NOTE: When the Add Kalstop indicator li-
ght (5g) comes on, you can continue
using the appliance, but adding Kalstop
FP 2003 immediately will help keep your
Vaporella in perfect working order for lon-
ger.
Constant use of Kalstop FP2003:
• prolongs your Vaporella’s useful lifespan;
• improves steam quality;
• increases the boiler’s efficiency and saves
energy.
Kalstop FP2003 is an organic, biodegrad-
able, non-toxic product; a tannic complex
which prevents lime scale formation, reduces
the presence of oxygen in the water (which
corrodes metals) and protects the walls of the
boiler.
KALSTOP FP 2003 is available for sale in
packages of 20 phials from home appliance
retailers and authorised Polti technical serv-
ice centres. Use original Polti products only.
Products by other brands may not be suitable
for use in Polti appliances and could cause
damage.

Before attempting any maintenance
operation, always disconnect the ap-
pliance from the mains.
• To clean the body of the appliance, simply
use a moist cloth. Do not use solvents or
detergents which may harm the body mate-
rial.
