3. STEAM IRONING
3.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been comple-
ted and regulate the temperature of the iron
(7) as described in chapter 2
3.2 Wait for the “Steam Ready” indicator light
and “Iron Heating” indicator light to turn off.
3.3 Adjust the steam flow by turning the knob
in a clockwise direction to increase the jet of
steam. Turning it in an anticlockwise direction
reduces the steam flow.
3.4 Press the steam button (8) on the iron to
make steam come out of the holes on the pla-
te. Releasing the button, the flow stops. Pro-
ceed to iron the garments.
3.5 To have a continuous jet of steam move
the button forward (9). The steam will conti-
nue to come out even when the button is re-
leased. To interrupt the supply, move the but-
ton backward.
4. VERTICAL IRONING
It is possible to use the iron vertically to remo-
ve creases from fabrics and/or to freshen up
the fibres, eliminating possible residual
odours.
Hold the iron vertically, push the steam button
(8) and touch the fabric slightly with the sole-
plate, if the type of fabrics allows it.
5. DRY IRONING
5.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been comple-
ted, leaving the boiler switch off and regulate
the temperature of the iron (7) as described in
chapter 2.
6. ECO FUNCTION
Thanks to the ECO function, Vaporella auto-
matically sets the steam pressure for a consi-
derable energy saving, while keeping an opti-
mum performance for ironing even all the
most resistant fabrics (cotton/jeans/linen).
To activate or deactivate the ECO function, ju-
st press the “0 - 1” (
) switch on the applian-
ce (10). The pressure indicator light turn off
when the right pressure is reached.
The indicator lights “Iron heating” and “Steam
ready” turn on and off during use. This indica-
tes that the electrical resistor has started to
work to keep the pressure of the boiler steady.
This is a normal occurrence, and it is therefore
possible to continue ironing.
When first using the steam, there may be so-
me drops of water leaking out of the plate,
this is due to imperfect thermal stabilization.
We therefore recommend that the first jet of
steam be directed onto a cloth (clean rag).
During dry ironing, take care not to push the
steam release button on the Iron since some
water drops can come out from the soleplate
ATTENTION: Do not place the hot iron on
any surface. Vaporella is equipped with an
iron rest mat with soft non-slip inserts desi-
gned to resist high temperatures.

Divide the laundry according to the symbols
on the garment labels or according to the
kind of fabric. Always start ironing with the
garments that require the lowest tempera-
ture, in order to reduce the waiting times
and avoid the risk of burning the fabrics.
ATTENTION: For low temperature we do not
recommend the use of steam since water
could come out from the holes on the sole-
plate. For medium temperature alternate the
use of steam and dry ironing to avoid water
leaking from the holes on the soleplate.
High temperature – cotton, linen:
Set the iron temperature adjustment knob
to the position
•••
Medium temperature – wool, silk:
Set the iron temperature adjustment knob
to the position
••
Low temperature – synthetic, acrylic, ny-
lon, polyester:
Set the iron temperature adjustment knob
to the position
•
- Do not iron
- Steam ironing and steam treatment not
allowed
