Push the button with the Flash icon next to the flash. The flash opens.
To close the flash:
•
Push down on to top of the flash until you hear a ‘click’ sound to close the flash.
Note
: When the flash is closed, flash mode is automatically set to flash off.
The Flash offers additional light source (usually used in a low-light environment). You can capture
an image using one of the following flash modes.
Using the Flash
There are several Flash options available on your camera. The options appear on the Photo
Capture Mode LCD screen in sequence.
To select the Flash mode:
1)
Set the Mode Dial to the desired Photo Capture Mode.
2)
Open the Flash by pressing the button next to the Flash.
3) Press
the
UP
Quick Function button until you arrive at your desired Flash Mode. The Flash
Mode is displayed on the LCD screen.
Important:
When using Flash, stand between 8 to 10 feet away from the scene you would like to
capture. The MACRO mode must be turned off when you want to use the Flash.
