Fluid Level

To change lubricant:

Remove skid plate (if necessary).

Place a drain pan beneath the transmission oil
drain plug area.

Remove the drain plug and wipe the magnetic end
clean to remove accumulated metallic filings.

After the oil has drained completely, install a new
sealing washer and install the drain plug. Torque
to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).

Add the proper lubricant through the dipstick hole
until the oil level is between the upper and lower
limits. Do not overfill. Refer to Illustration 2 for
proper fluid level depending on the

RANGER

model.

Check for leaks.

Reinstall skid plate if removed in Step 1.
