Call tone
: the radio has 10 available call tones. Press [MENU] 4 times then use ▲▼ buttons to select the
desired tone. Press [TALK] button to confirm selection and exit menu.
Call
: press call button to send a short call to all the radios on the same channel.
NOTE: this function is available once every 60 sec.
TOT function
: this function will stop transmission at 3 min, to protect the radio in case of accidental transmission.
This is a default setting that can’t be disabled.
Key tone
: press [MENU] button 5 times then use ▲▼ buttons to enable/disable key tones. Press [TALK]
button to confirm selection and exit menu.
Roger Beep
: this function will add a short beep after every transmission. Press [MENU] button 6 times then
use ▲▼ buttons to enable/disable function. Press [TALK] button to confirm selection and exit menu.
Lock function
: long press [MENU] button to lock/unlock the buttons of the radio
TROUBLESHOOTING:
The radio doesn’t turn on
- check the batteries. Make sure they placed correctly.
Reaplce old batteries with new ones.
Wheak reception
- Press ▲ to increase volume. The signal can be wheak because you are out of range.
Limited range
- I fyou keep the radio close to the body, in a pcket or on the belt, you might loose reception.
Change the place for the radio. Open arias will give you maximum range while concrete structures, trees or
using the radio inside buildings or cars can diminish teh range. If the battery indicator shows low battery please
replace the batteries.
Distorted signal
- The two radios are to far apart. Obstacles can interfere with the transmission. The optimum
communication distance is 5 to 6 km in an obstacle free zones. The two radios are too close. The minimum
communication distance is 1,5 m. When you transmit use a normal tone of voice at 5 to 7 cm distance from the
microphone. When receiving set the volume at a comfortable level.
