Within some rare and uncommon conditions housing or its elements made from polycarbonate can accumulate the
electrostatic charge which can cause the ignition. Do not install the product in the atmosphere conducing to
accumulation of the electrostatic charges. Clean the product only using wet tissue.
Intrinsically safe circuits in MacBAT 5 are in conform with every intrinsically safety rules included in EN 60079-14, in
details:
• It is required to use the cables with separate wires or use multi-core cables A- or B-type according to 12.2.2.8
point of EN 60079-14.
• Cables and wires of non-intrinsically safe circuits must be driven separately to the intrinsically safe.
• Cables and wires must be rigidly attached to avoid their loose hanging and mechanical damage.
• Cables of intrinsically safe circuits must have blue insulation
Shielding of the cable must be connected to the cable gland. This way provides the grounding of the MacBAT 5 in
vincinity of the device. When using measurement transducers shielding of it must be insulated.
Cables used for connection must have round section fitting to the external diameter of the used cable glands.

This measurement unit, due to the technical conditions, safety rules and regulations can be serviced only by the trained
and experienced person. It is required to consider all the terms for special equipment exploitation. Similar terms are
valid also for all the connected accessories.
