Network Configurations
Wired Connection – Ethernet Cable
1. Set up DSL or cable modem service through an ISP.
2. Turn off AC power, unplug the power cord, and open the back door.
3. Run the Ethernet cable to the cabinet.
4. Route the Ethernet cable through the mouse hole in the back door.
5. Inside the cabinet, dress the Ethernet cable away from other cables and metallic parts.
6. Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ45 jack on the PC.
7. Close the back door.
8. Plug in power cord and turn on AC power.
Cellular Connection - Cell Modem
A cell modem and antenna comes preinstalled and preconfigured with the cabinet. The antenna is
located beneath cabinet bezel.
However, other antenna positions may provide improved connectivity.
Follow recommended guidelines and procedure to reposition the antenna.
Antenna Location Guidelines
• Keep the antenna vertical.
• Avoid mounting an antenna near power lines.
• Avoid areas where people could trip on a cable.
• Don’t tempt vandals: If possible, keep the antenna out of plain sight.
Changing Antenna Location
1. Turn off AC power, unplug the power cord, and open the back door.
2. Remove 4 screws at front of bezel.
