Chapter 2 Installation
2.1 Software Installation
Before you plug-in and use the UL-201 for the first time in your computer, you should run the SETUP
InstallShield program to preload the driver and utility into your computer. This step is necessary in order
for you to use the USB 2.0 Data Link Cable properly under Windows operating system.
Note : The following steps will show how to install the UL-201 under Windows XP. If you are using other
Windows system, the installation is also the same but the look of the dialogue boxes may be a
little bit different. This Setup program only supports Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP and Server 2003.
1. Power on your computer.
2. Insert UL-201 Drivers and User

s Manual CD to your CD-ROM Drive, then find out the SETUP.EXE
in the CD (Assume "E" is your CD-ROM drive, the driver can be found in E:\Driver\UL-201) and run
this file to install driver and utility. The Setup program will then start to prepare the InstallShield
Wizard that will guide you through the rest of the setup process.
3. The InstallShield Wizard welcome dialog box will then appear to display some information
regarding the setup program. Follow the instructions and click

to continue.
