Installing the Short-Throw
Lens and Re-Assembling
the Projector
10. Remove the vertical lens shift adjuster from the
top of the lens assembly that you just removed.
Install it at the same location on the
replacement lens assembly.
Note carefully the correct orientation of the lens when doing this.
When
oriented correctly, the notch on the lens mounting plate faces down. The
lens aperture is crescent-shaped, with the concave edge facing down and
to the left:
11. Insert the short-throw lens into the lens
cavity. Ensure that the notch on the
vertical lens shift adjuster mates with
the retaining slot on the projector, as
shown at right. Otherwise, the adjuster
won’t work correctly.
12. Secure the lens in place using the black retaining clips that you removed in
Step 8.
13. Install the foam lens shield around the new lens (refer to Step 7).
14. Replace the stray light shield that you removed in Steps 4 through 6.
(Remember to reconnect the black wire to the shield.)
15. Replace the projector front cover that you removed in Steps 1 through 3.
