Loss of the GI 000 heading and attitude may occur near the poles, but thls
will not affect the GPS track.
NOTE
In dual GPS installations, only one GPS needs to
be available for lFR operations.
(h) Terrain and Obstacle Display
The G 1000 terrain and obstacle information appears on the MFD display
as red and yellow tiles or towers, and is depicted for advisory information
only. Aircraft maneuvers and navigation must not be predicted upon the use
of the terrain display.
Obstacles 200 feet and higher are included in the obstacle database. It is very
important to note that not all obstacles are necessarily charted and therefore
may not be contained in the obstacle database. Coverage of the obstacle
database includes the United States, Canada, and Europe .

Database coverage areas may change over time.
Reference the database status page to determine
which regions are currently loaded to the system.
