2. Inspect drag and side brace link assemblies and bolts for wear Repair as required. (See latest
revision of Piper Service Bulletin No. 845A)
1. SAS Emergency Override System - Remove and weigh C02 cartridge. Cartridge should weigh
132 grams or as marked on cartridge; replace as required. (PA-31T only.)
1. Inspect all exterior bearings, clean, and lubricate; replace as required.

Inspect operation of inboard fuel cell baffles.
1. Perform inspection and test in accordance with Piper Service Manual, section Xlll.
1. Inspect brushes per Piper Service Manual, section Xl.
2. Perform Overvoltage Relay Operational Check per Piper Service Manual, section Xl.
1. Install new fuel pump outlet filter (10 micron) (refer to P&W Maintenance Manual).
1. At end of each 500 hours, tobacco filters on cabin altitude controller and safety valve must be
replaced. (Refer to Service Manual, section Xlll, Garrett System only.)
1. Inspect fuel quantity indication system for proper calibration.
1. For engines operated in high utilization commuter airline type operation, a basic oil drain period of
800 hours for 7-1/2 centistoke or 1200 hours for a 5 centistoke oil, or 9 months whichever occurs
first. Extensions beyond basic drain period may be contemplated provided that condition of oil is
monitored and a written request is submitted to P&W Service Department.
2. See latest P&W Service Bulletin No. 1001 for proper oil, lubricating (synthetic) approved listing.
1. Bench check or replace hydraulic pumps.
2. Bench check or replace starter-generators.
3. Bench check or replace tachometer generators.
4. Comply with P&W Service Bulletin No. 1002, regarding rotor components service life.
5. Replace P3 compressor delivery air filters.
6. Replace disposable type oil filter element; do not try to clean (refer to Piper Service Manual,
section Vlll for further information)
