1.Locate your center strut on the trailing
edge of your kite. Sewn on the strut end is
a pigtail attachment where you will first at-
tach the leach line. Form a larks head in the
end of the leach line that is sleeved like you
kite flying line and secure over knot.
2.Now attach the other end of the leach
line to the end of the tool by tying a basic
overhand knot or half hitch.
3.Insert the tool into the leach line
pocket through the hole as pictured.
If your kite doesn’t have a hole, you will
have to make a small incision into the
scuff guard.
5.Push the tool through the pocket to-
ward the wing tip.
6.Once you reach the strut you will have to guide
the tool so that it follows the stitching line under
the scuff guard. You will feed the tool through a
hole, over the strut, and through another hole
leading back into the trailing edge leach pocket.
The leach line is never exposed and is covered by
the scuff guard if installed properly.
7.Work the leach line and tool through
the pocket toward the wing tip. You will
have to repeat step 5 each time you
encounter a strut.
8.Once you reach the end of the leach
pocket at the wing tip, you will have to
make a small cut in the patch that covers
the grommet.
9.Feed the tool out of the leach pocket,
through the freshly cut whole in the
grommet. While holding the tool/leach
line in your hand, pull the kite’s trailing
edge tight to fit the line properly.
