Subscribing to XM
Before you can listen to any of XM’s more than 170 channels, you must first activate your
XMp3 radio .
Make sure your XMp3 radio is properly installed and receiving the XM 1
signal in live mode so that you can hear the audio on Channel 1 .
Make a note of your XM Radio ID . You can find it: 2
• On XM Channel 0
• On the rear package label
• On the label inside of the battery compartment
NOTE!
The XM Radio ID does not use the letters I, O, S, or F .

• Online: Go to activate.xmradio.com

• By phone: call 1-800-XM-RADIO (1-800-967-2346)
When your service is activated, your XMp3 radio will receive all 4
channels . This usually takes 10 to 15 minutes, but may take up to an
hour . Your XMp3 radio must remain on until activated .
If you have not yet activated your XMp3 and it is not receiving a signal, the radio may show a
Sales Demo on its display . The demo disappears when you activate the radio .
