BEFORE YOU BEGIN
VENTILATION
• When installing this unit, make sure to leave
space around the unit for ventilation to
improve heat radiation (at least 60 cm (23
5/
8
in) at the top, 10 cm (3
15/
16
in) at the rear, and
30 cm (11
13/
16
in) at each side). If not enough
space is provided between the unit and walls
or other equipment, heat will build up inside,
interfering with performance or causing
malfunction.
• Do not place on a thick carpet, bed, sofa or
fabric having a thick pile. Do not cover with
fabric or other covering.
Anything that blocks ventilation will cause
the internal temperature to rise, which may
lead to breakdown or fire hazard.
OPENING THE FRONT DOOR
Press the front door at the bottom, as
illustrated.
CONNECTING THE INPUT CORDS
• Use audio cords with pins.
• Make sure that you insert the pins as far as
they will go.
• Take care to connect L and R correctly.
CONNECTING THE SPEAKER CORDS
1
Remove the vinyl covering from the end of
the cord, and twist the wire tight.
2
Loosen the terminal knob and insert the cord
into the gap behind it.
3
Tighten the knob to secure the cord. Pull
gently to check that it does not come loose.
NOTE
• Make sure that the core of the speaker
cord is firmly within the terminal and is
not visible.
• If using metal tips, make sure that the
metal does not touch the metal of the
casing.
