Listening to tape
Tape Slot
If you insert a cassette tape into the tape slot,
tape playback begins.
•
This product is compatible with metal tapes.
Tape Eject
If you press the tape eject button, the cas-
sette tape is ejected.
A cassette can be ejected even if the ve-
hicle engine switch is turned to the OFF
position.
Tape
Pressing the tape button switches on the
power to the tape player, and playback be-
gins. When there is no cassette tape inserted
in the machine, the power is not switched on.

When playing a cassette recorded in Dolby
NR mode, press the Dolby B NR button.
To cancel the Dolby B NR setting, press the
same button once again.

Press the tape direction button.
Fast-Forwarding and Rewinding
Press the
button to fast forward or
to rewind the tape. To stop fast forward or
rewind, press the same button again or press
the TAPE button.
Start of a Track
You can skip forward or go back to the start
of a track you like to choose within previous
9 tracks and next 9 tracks of the track being
played.
Press the start of track button as many as
you like to skip (3 times if you like to skip to
the third track).
The track being played is counted when you
rewind.

Press the
side of the start of track but-
ton to skip forward.
•
Press the
side to go back.
The cancel this function, press the tape but-
ton.
The start of track function may not work
properly in the following cases:
•
If there is a blank section of less than 3
seconds between tracks
•
If there is noise between tracks
Repeat
Press the repeat button.
RPT will light.
To cancel the repeat function, press the re-
peat button once again.
The repeat function may not work prop-
erly in the following cases:
•
If there is a blank section of less than 3
seconds between tracks
•
If there is noise between tracks
Skip
Press the skip button.
SKIP will light.
To cancel the skip function, press the skip
button once again.
The skip function may not work properly
in the following cases:
•
If a blank section is less than about 15
seconds long
•
If there is noise between tracks
•
If the start and end of a track are not
clearly defined
