3. Remove the four cd mechanism fixing screws and the small ground strap fixing screw with 

green wire attached, shown in Illustration 2. Be careful and use a magnetised screwdriver so 
you don't lose any screws inside the unit.

4. Unplug flexible cable from the optical pickup. Pull gently and do not crease.
5. Unplug 6 way connector from the motor circuit board. Lift out the CD mechanism and put it 

on a clear space in front of you.
