Using Slicer Loop
Slicer Loop takes a section of the track that’s currently playing (known
as a domain and defined by a specified number of beats) and divides
it into 8 equal sections. These 8 sliced sections are assigned to the
respective Performance Pads. While you hold down a Performance
Pad, the sound for the section assigned to that pad plays in a loop.
While playing a loop of the pad’s sound, normal playback of the track
with the original rhythm continues in the background (but you only hear
the loop). When you release the Performance Pad and loop playback
ends, track playback resumes from the position reached by that time.
•
You can’t use the Slicer function with tracks that have no beatgrid set.
For details on setting beatgrids, read the Serato DJ Pro software
manual.
