28.

When the appliance is no longer in use always turn it off and then
remove the electric cable from the socket of the power supply (mains)
or the extension cable.

29.

Warning:

the appliance must never be covered when it is connected

to the mains or durin operation, even if the connection is switched off.
Blocking the flow of air may cause overheating and a risk of fire.
Never dry any clothes or other fabrics on the appliance.

30.

Don’t use the appliance in th

e presence of explosive or inflammable

gases, vapours or liquids.

31.

Make sure the heater is not likely to fall or to be knocked over when
switched on. Ensure it is in the upright position at all times.

32.

The heater must only be used at floor level. Never place it on a shelf
or on other furniture.

33.

Before using the heater, put a flat heat-resistant surface under it to
protect the floor or carpet. The surface should be large enough to
cover the floor if the heater is knocked over.

34.

Keep the heater as far as possible from papered walls and curtains. It
should be at least 1 metre away from flammable objects in every
direction.

35.

Do not allow any pets near the heater when it’s connected to the

mains. Make sure you position the heater so that pets and plants
(including those in an aquarium or terrarium) are not aff ected by the
heat.

36.

Never put the unit in water or hold it under running water while
cleaning it.

37.

Do not touch the appliance with moist hands. Plug the connector of
the appliance into the mains with dry hands only, and check that the
casing, power cord and connector of the appliance as well as the
mains socket are dry. Should any moisture get inside the casing of the
appliance stop using it immediately and take it to a service centre for
evaluation or repair.

38.

Ensure nothing falls into the openings on the front grill or back grill of
the heater. When using and storing the heater, take care not to bump
it, drop it or step on the base. This could deform the protective grill,
crack the cover or damage the heating elements. Any failure caused
by this type of carelessness is not covered by the

manufacturer’s

warranty.

39.

Before moving the heater, unplug it from the mains and wait until it
has cooled down completely.

40.

Keep the mains cable away from sharp or hot objects. Keep the cable
away from the protective grill and the hot air at the front of the heater.
Never use the mains cable to pull or lift the heater.

41.

The appliance should only be packed away for storage if it has cooled
down completely.
