3.6
Close the passenger/crew door Figure 1 [6] and turn the door handle Figure 1 [7] to the closed
position. Check for play between each shoot bolts and the striker plates Figure 1 [2]. On the shoot
bolts with play, the play must be measured as follows:
3.6.1
Refer to Fig. 1 Detail D. Use a Depth gage (Pt.No. Local supply) and measure the distance L1.
Note
It is not easy to measure this distance on the center striker plates. It is recommended to use a vernier
caliper for this task.
3.6.2
Open the passenger/crew door Figure 1 [6].
3.6.3
Measure the distance L2.
3.6.4
Measure the distance D on the shoot bolt.
3.6.5
Calculate the play G from this formula G = L2 - L1 - D.
3.6.6
The maximum permitted play is 0,7 mm (0.03 in). If the play is more than the permitted, replace the
striker plate with an applicable offset striker plate.
3.6.7
Do Step 3.6 to make sure the play of all of the shoot bolts are in the limit.
3.7
Do the adjustment/test of the passenger/crew door, refer to AMM 12-B-52-10-00-00A-903A-A
