Use the compass base rose or the datum compass to put the aircraft on the magnetic heading of 000
(N) degrees.

Click on the AIRCRAFT INSTALLATION SETUP button.

On the computer Installation Setup screen, click on the COMPASS CALIBRATION button.

On the Select the type of compass calibration to perform screen, click on the PERFORM COMPASS
CALIBRATION USING 12 POINTS ON THE COMPASS ROSE button.

CAUTION
THE AIRCRAFT MUST STAY ON EACH HEADING FOR AT LEAST ONE MINUTE TO AVOID
HEADING ERRORS.
Let the ADAHRS heading become stable.
Note
When you do this procedure, do not use the ENTER key or the SPACE BAR of the keyboard to record
compass readings. This will clear all previously recorded readings and the calibration procedure will
have to be done again. Use the primary button of either a computer mouse or the laptop touchpad to
record a reading.

On the Perform 12 point compass rose calibration screen, click on the TAKE MAGNETOMETER
READING button.
Note
The 0° heading is stored in the ADAHRS after a few seconds. The laptop computer screen will then
show you the next heading to store (i.e. 30°). This will repeat in the steps that follow for the complete
compass calibration.

Put the aircraft on a heading of 30° then put the aircraft brakes on.

Wait at least one minute to let the ADAHRS heading become stable.
