Description
1 General
Refer to Fig. 1 .
The Lightweight Data Recorder (LDR), is an L3 Model LDR1000, airborne, crash-survivable recording device,
which automatically records both cockpit voice and aircraft flight data when electrical power is connected. The LDR
was previously known as the Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder (CVFDR). The LDR still uses the CVFDR
panel installed on the co-pilots auxiliary panel.
