2. Brief Description
The PIKO Wireless Receiver transforms the radio signals from the PIKO Navigator
remote into data for the PIKO Analog Throttle or the PIKO Digital Central Station.
The Receiver uses high-band bidirectional FM radio technology to acheive virtually
disruption-free connection to the Navigator, even over long distances. Connection to
the Throttle or Central Station is via one of the two included data cables.
2.1 Connection:
Open the Receiver by removing the 4 small Phillips screws from the top cover. Lift
off the cover. Carefully lift out the circuit board and place it on a soft, non-metallic
surface, such as a soft cloth or mouse pad. Two data cables are included with the
Receiver. Use only one cable! Use the wider 8-pin Analog cable only for connection
to the PIKO 35002 Analog Throttle. Use the narrower 6-pin Digital cable only for
connection to the PIKO 35010 Digital Central Station. The Receiver must not be
connected to two devices at once or to any other devices.
Attention: The Analog data cable plug has 8 pins and is wider than the 6-pin
Digital data cable plug. Never insert the narrower plug into the wider socket on
the Analog Throttle. This can damage the devices.
Plug the appropriate cable into the correct socket on the Receiver (see Image 1).
When unplugging the cable, press the latch tab on the plug first, then gently pull the
plug out of the socket.
Carefully place the receiver circuit board back inside the lower housing. Set the
top cover in place and secure it with the 4 screws, ensuring that all components
fit correctly and that the housing seals properly. Plug the included metal antenna
