CONNECTION
Switch your system off before you connect the loudspeakers.
PIEGA loudspeakers can be operated in conjunction with any
good amplifier rated for stable performance into 4 ohms. Your
PIEGA dealer is trained to assist you in selecting compatible am-
plification.
PIEGA loudspeakers should be connected only with high quality
cables. Selected PIEGA loudspeakers can be operated with "bi-
wiring" or "bi-amping”. In a bi-amplified system, however, you
should consult your PIEGA dealer to insure that the sensitivity of
each amplifier can be adjusted to achieve the proper balance of
high and low frequencies. Correct polarity is of utmost impor-
tance: the positive terminal of the loudspeaker (red socket) must
be connected with the positive terminal of the amplifier/controller;
the negative pole of the loudspeaker (black socket) must be con-
nected with the negative pole.
TONE CONTROL
AT AMPLIFIER
Since your new PIEGA loudspeaker can be tailored to the acoustic
conditions of your listening space, we do not recommend using an.
amplifier's sound control features. Analogue equalizers may cause
unnecessary phase shift and distortion and should not be used in
conjunction with your PIEGA loudspeakers.
POWER AND VOLUME
Please do not use amplifiers that have substantially more power
than is recommended for your PIEGA model. In rare cases, ex-
treme volumes may damage the drivers and crossover of your
loudspeaker. Your loudspeakers may also be damaged by distorted
signals produced by a weak or inadequate amplifier. We recom-
mend that you consult your PIEGA dealer for information about
amplifiers suitable in power and quality to best complement your
PIEGA loudspeakers.
Unfortunately , we are unable to guarantee loudspeakers damaged
as a result improper care and/or use.
INITIAL USE
Since a loudspeaker basically is a mechanical transducer consi-
sting of many components, your PIEGA loudspeakers will conti-
nue to improve in performance during the first weeks of use. Dur-
ing this period of initial use or "breaking in,” your PIEGA loud-
speakers will achieve their full sound potential, resulting in a supe-
rior listening experience.
CLEANING
We recommend using glass cleaner for our aluminium models.
Painted models may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth. Do not
use corrosive cleaning agents or rough fabrics to clean your
PIEGA loudspeakers. You should. never attempt to clean the rib-
bon tweeter.
WARRANTY
PIEGA units are constructed to the highest quality standards and
control procedures. We provide a six-year warranty (three years on
electronic components). To comply with this warranty, please re-
fer to our general guarantee conditions.
