Port A You can use Control Port A to pass status and control information.

The conÞguration of Control Port A determines the list of
options.
Table 6-1: Set Control Port A Screen Options
Option Description
Select Type ConÞgures the mode of operation for the
control port, as described in Table 6-2.
Enter Baud Rate ConÞgures the rate at which information
passes through the control port.
The Control Protocol port type has a default
setting of 1200.
Select Parity Determines the number of data bits in each
word of information that passes through the
control port as well as the parity checking of
a received word:
