Cascading
In case of cascading one or more SIMRC carriers, interconnect J4 of first carrier with J4
of adjacent carrier(s) etc. Use cable female to female, one to one, pins 1, 2, 3 and 5.
When cascading, power supply and communication is provided through connectors J4.
Soft Front Panel Installation
1. Unzip file Installation_PI-SIMRC_version.zip into a temporary directory and run
setup.exe to launch installation.
2. The destination directory (default settings recommended) will be automatically
created and the PI-SIMRC software will be installed there.
3. A short cut for easy starting the tool will be placed on the desktop.
4. Uninstall PI-SIMRC using Remove Programs in the Control Panel.
Programming
Refer Manual Section 4 – PROGRAMMING, RS-232 Operation, page 4.5. A programming
example is listed on page 4.10.
Verification of your SIMRC configuration
Use the SFP or any Windows Terminal Emulation (such as HyperTerminal) to communicate
with the SIMRCs.
