THE 40-290 IS FITTED WITH LINKS 1 AND 3 FORMING 2 SEPARATE 16-BIT RESISTOR CHAINS.
THE RESISTOR VALUES SHOWN IN THE SCHEMATIC ARE STANDARD VALUES; THESE MAY BE CUSTOMISED.
RELAY RL1 SWITCHES R17, RL2 SWITCHES R18, ETC.
ADDRESS 1 COMPRISES RESISTOR CHAINS 1 AND 2. ADDRESS 2 COMPRISES RESISTOR CHAINS 3 AND 4.
THE STANDARD VALUE RESISTOR POWER RATINGS ARE PROVIDED IN THE PARTS LIST IN SECTION 4.

These cards support non-volatile storage of a 16-bit calibration value associated with every individual resistor in
each resistor-chain. The Pickering software drivers provide functions allowing the storage and retrieval of these
values, but their interpretation is left entirely to the user’s program.
Pilpxi (Direct I/O) driver functions:
•
PIL_WriteCal
•
PIL_ReadCal
Pipx40 (VISA) driver functions:
•
pipx40_writeCalibration
•
pipx40_readCalibration
These functions are described in the Programming Manual and help files, with some further information in the
Application Notes section on the Pickering Interfaces website www.pickeringtest.com.
